Rockville, MD—iQ Solutions, a leading provider of health information to improve quality of life, has hired two senior executives to create a next-generation “health knowledge platform” for a health communications marketplace increasingly defined by open source and social media. David Tondreau, chief technology officer, and Stephen Murphy, senior vice president of digital strategy and innovation, will enable iQ Solutions’ government and private-sector clients to be the first adopters of a proactive, technology-infused health information platform with real-time reporting.

David Tondreau brings 23 years of experience to his new position—as an entrepreneur, executive, and technology evangelist. He came to iQ Solutions from Ingres Corporation, where he was an architect and community organizer for the company’s open source software portfolio. He also served as vice president of development at ca, Inc., with responsibility for enterprise software development and modernization products. David Tondreau has founded two startups—Object Services Corporation, a software products company that delivered highly efficient tools and services for modernizing business applications and opening access to the underlying data, and Leading Computer Technologies, an IT services firm specializing in the integration of information systems to unify processing and enhance decision making. As chief technology officer at iQ Solutions, he is responsible for innovation and delivery of technical solutions to customers.
Stephen Murphy is an expert on the convergence of media in the marketing communications arena. For more than 25 years he has managed large-scale communications programs for non-profits, government agencies, and private industry. Having directed national campaigns for CDC, NIH, and DHHS agencies that included paid advertising, non-traditional grassroots, and web and social media outreach, Stephen has a broad spectrum of marketing research and implementation knowledge with a focus on customer-driven applications and approaches. Stephen Murphy founded The Media Network, a successful marketing agency, established one of the first Internet radio news applications, and developed database and Web tools to locate new customer opportunities. As senior vice president of digital strategy and innovation, his role is to expand iQSolutions’ use of social media and emerging technologies to enhance marketing communications and outcomes.
