NIDA PSA
"After the Party," a bilingual television public service announcement (PSA) that iQ Solutions created and developed for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), received an Emmy Award nomination on October 1, 2008. NIDA was the only Federal agency in this year's competition.

"After the Party" tells the story of a teenage girl who went to a party, took drugs, engaged in risky sexual practices, and contracted HIV. It is part of the Drugs + HIV > Learn the Link campaign, which iQ Solutions developed for NIDA to educate teens on the link between non-injection drug use, risky behaviors, and HIV transmission.

"We used a research-based cultural adaptation process to develop the bilingual 'After the Party' PSA for NIDA," said Ileana Quintas, iQ Solutions founder and CEO. "We are honored to receive a significant mark of distinction on behalf of our client in this highly respected, national competition."

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented the awards in the 47th Annual Public and Community Service Emmy Awards competition, which honors television professionals for programming that advances the common good. Winners for these awards are chosen by a panel of judges composed of community leaders, clergy, educators, business people, and artists.

The iQ Solutions NIDA team shared the National Public Service category with several high-profile nominees, including ThinkMTV.com, the Kaiser Family Foundation in partnership with HBO, and the American Cancer Society. Academy officials confirmed receipt of more than 100 entries in the category.
