“We are excited to work on a project that supports the research community and focuses on improving the lives of children.”

Rockville, MD—Web support for design and development at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National (CTSI-CN) is currently in the planning stages at IQ Solutions.

The recent contract award provides funds to create a brand identity and a new “look and feel” for the Pediatric Informatics Backbone for Education and Research (PIBear).  At the National Center, PIBear is a portal for use by the Center’s researchers, trainees, and faculty at The George Washington University.  The portal allows access to all that CTSI-CN has to offer.

“Our team of Web and design professionals has worked together on several analysis, strategy, design, and development projects,” said Paulina Puig, senior project manager at IQ Solutions.  “We are excited to work on a project that supports the research community and focuses on improving the lives of children.”  The main goal of this project is to design and develop a logo and visually appealing Web site.  “Ultimately, we want to provide the content experts—our clients—with an easy way to update and manage their own content,” Ms. Puig explained. “This is where selecting the right content management system is the key element of a successful Web project.”

The Web team has a clear process that will help to enhance PIBear’s brand identity.  “Our staff members have years of experience working on cutting-edge design and Web technology assignments for clients focused on public health,” said Ileana Quintas, CEO of IQ Solutions.  “This is an exciting time for our company.”

Design goals are born from the project’s communication strategy, according to Ody Leonard, creative director at IQ Solutions.  “For PIBear, we’re focusing on what translational science means.  We’re looking at the science from bench research to the patient’s bedside.  Visually, it’s an exciting challenge.”

IQ Solutions encourages creativity in our team of more than 40 Web, information technology, design, and interactive marketing professionals.  The company offers a full suite of Web services, including special expertise working on Web sites with a health focus.  “We offer Web 2.0 design to build services, usability testing and audience research, mobile application development, health education and program support services, interactive and social media marketing, email marketing, and more,” said Curtis Pond, vice president of Web solutions.

Using content management systems, IQ Solutions’ Web team is building several new Web sites and blogs for the Federal Government and nonprofit organizations that allow clients to manage their own content.  Feel free to browse examples of our work.  For more information, contact Kim Callinan, Senior Vice President, IQ Solutions, Inc., at KCallinan@iqsolutions.com.
