NIAMS Selects IQ Solutions to Support Two National Clearinghouses

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) has chosen IQ Solutions, Inc., to support the Institute's two national clearinghouses as well as its research dissemination, community outreach, and Web site maintenance activities for the next 5 years. The contract is valued at $15.2 million, all of which is paid for with federal funds.

Under this contract, IQ Solutions will coordinate inquiry response, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment services for two clearinghouses: the NIAMS Information Clearinghouse and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Osteoporosis and Related Bone Diseases National Resource Center. The two clearinghouses respond to approximately 16,000 inquiries each year. In addition, IQ Solutions will support the development of new materials, support the Institute's public access Web sites, provide marketing and media outreach support, manage the NIAMS exhibit program, and assist patients in accessing care via the NIAMS Health Partnership Program.

IQ Solutions now supports nine clearinghouses and information centers within the Department of Health and Human Services.
