IQ Solutions Expands Leadership Team with Three New Vice Presidents
IQ Solutions, Inc., has added a senior vice president and two vice presidents to its executive leadership team to accommodate the company's recent growth and continue its commitment to providing strong leadership and innovative solutions to clients. Together, the new vice presidents will further strengthen IQ Solutions' senior management team in the areas of minority health, call center operations, and health communications. The new vice presidents are Carlos A. Ugarte, M.S.P.H., senior vice president of the knowledge creation group, with an emphasis on policy and program development in areas relating to minority health; Stephanie Adams, vice president of contact center operations; and Jennifer Isenberg, M.S., who was promoted to vice president of health communications.

"Each of these new executives brings a distinguished skill set and a special niche of expertise that will strengthen our ability to provide the information, communications, and education services our public- and private-sector clients need to effect change and encourage healthy living."
Mr. Ugarte leads IQ Solutions' knowledge creation group. He brings more than 28.years of experience in high-level public health policy and program development. He has led the design, implementation, and evaluation of many community-driven health mobilization programs with emphasis on minority communities, especially Hispanics. Mr. Ugarte serves on numerous national boards and committees, currently serving as chair of the disparities committee for the Partnership to End Cervical Cancer and as an advisory committee member for the Latino Diabetes Action Council, American Diabetes Association. He also has served as the project director for the Office of Minority Health Resource Center, the coordinator of the Hispanic Communications Initiative at the National Institutes of Health, and the deputy vice president for health at the National Council of La Raza. Other highlights of his career include leading the design of a comprehensive, culturally competent strategy to reach Latinos for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, and serving as an expert consultant and Spanish-language spokesperson for the Office of National Drug Control Policy's National Youth Anti-Drug Media Project. The author of more than 35 publications and abstracts for professional journals and lay periodicals in Spanish and English, Mr. Ugarte has been a featured speaker at numerous domestic and international professional and community-based meetings. He graduated from the University of Miami with a master of science degree in public health with specialization in health education and chronic disease epidemiology.
Ms. Adams will oversee contact center, Web, and communications operations for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Health Information Network. She possesses 15 years of professional health care experience. She has created and managed educational and support programs for health care professionals, health care nonprofit organizations, and the public. Prior to joining IQ Solutions, Ms. Adams managed high-touch contact center programs, which provide extremely personalized service, for Covance Market Access Services to support medical reimbursement, patient assistance, and risk management programs. She has managed a series of successful call center launches, including one that set new call center volume records. She has extensive experience developing social marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships and program development in the women's health arena. Ms. Adams also served as the director of strategic alliances for iVillage's health channel, where she directed online and offline marketing opportunities, identified and licensed content, and developed strategic relationships with leading nonprofits. She holds a bachelor's degree with distinction from Cornell University.
Ms. Isenberg will provide senior managerial support for the company's health communications and social marketing initiatives. She will lead IQ Solutions' new $15.2 million contract to support call center, resource development, information technology, and Web communications services for the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. She will continue to monitor two longstanding contracts for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) focusing on research dissemination and virtual information center services. Since joining IQ Solutions in 1998, Ms. Isenberg has provided social marketing, health education, Web communications, and program planning support for several clients. She directed the startup and implementation of NIDA's virtual information center and oversaw the conceptualization and development of numerous award-winning NIDA campaigns and Web sites. She also managed Web communications contracts for the National Cancer Institute and both the National Medicare Education Program and the Medicare & You campaign for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Ms. Isenberg holds a master's degree in health sciences from George Washington University.
