Rockville, MD—At a time when most companies are cutting corners to weather the storm of a strained economy, IQ Solutions, a leading information, communications, and education services firm in Rockville, Maryland, used its annual health fair to support the community challenge of achieving and maintaining good health. On October 29, the company opened its offices to seniors from the Rockville Senior Center and the Langley Park Senior Center, as well as to tenants of its headquarters building at One Central Plaza (11300 Rockville Pike).
IQ Solutions' second annual health fair, themed "Healthy Habits for Every Age," featured age-appropriate demonstrations of fitness and yoga; workshops on medication safety, H1N1 prevention, nutrition, and men's health; and exhibits focused on memory skills, eye care, and hearing health. In addition, IQ Solutions' 300 staff members were invited to receive flu and pneumonia shots, head and neck massages, and blood pressure and cholesterol screenings at the all-day event. The fair also offered a healthy snack bar, a Web Cafe for exploring health and fitness sites, and raffle prizes.
