Rockville, MD—IQ Solutions, a leading provider of health information services to U.S. Government agencies and the private sector since 1993, has received a contract modification to provide additional communications support for the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP).
A key task identified in the modified work plan is to develop a variety of Spanish-language materials related to the ODPHP Quick Guide to Healthy Living. This effort calls for formative research and pilot testing of content and design, as well as the "transcreation" of a variety of Quick Guide topics in Spanish. It also requires technical enhancements, including the development of information architecture for integration into ODPHP's "myhealthfinder" service and a mobile application.
"Making health knowledge available to underserved populations is one of our strengths," said IQ Solutions founder and CEO Ileana Quintas. "We maintain the staff expertise and ongoing capacity to deliver effective Spanish-language content. The contract agenda also includes two goals for the ODPHP Healthy People 2020 initiative. The first is to redesign, launch, and maintain a new Web site, and to provide plain language Web content. The second goal is to establish a relational database for Healthy People, with a new password-protected interface to give users easy access to health data. Finally, IQ Solutions will develop outreach plans that combine best practices in communications theory with an array of social media tools for promoting both Healthy People and healthfinder.gov.
