The Washington Post Top Workplace honor is determined by an independent survey of employee opinions about their organization. The survey is submitted directly to employees by Workplace Dynamics of Exton, PA. “Top Workplaces” is the brainchild of Workplace Dynamics, which believes that “the most successful companies are the ones that employees believe in.”

IQ Solutions is a 22-year-old public health organization that applies strategic communications, science and evidence-based research, public health theory, and innovation to its content and technical expertise. IQ Solutions staff works to empower all audiences to improve their health and well‑being.

At IQ Solutions, employees drive the corporate culture by continuously making recommendations to improve the work environment. Some popular initiatives are:

  • Employees receive annual financial incentives for their participation in some of the many healthy activities offered at IQ Solutions.
  • The IQ Solutions Wellness for Life program takes a holistic approach to improving employee health and productivity and focuses on preventative health care and physical wellness, while providing employees the opportunity to improve their personal wellness, including mental health care, financial planning, and generous work-from-home policies.
  • The company’s “work while you walk” treadmill/computer facilities were highlighted in a Washington Post feature in 2013.
  • IQ Solutions partners with LifeWork Strategies, a local employee assistance program, to provide staff with services like health coaching, workshops on mental health topics, smoking cessation support, and seminars on retirement savings.
sample Tom Brackett, Chief Financial Officer of IQ Solutions, says, “We currently enjoy over 60 percent staff participation in our wellness activities, and that success has been measured by having a healthier workforce.”

IQ Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer, Ileana Quintas, expressed the corporate philosophy by stating, “We are an organization dedicated to improving the health of all people, particularly the underserved, and that dedication begins at home with a commitment to ensuring the good health of those with whom we work.”
